Our Lowcountry practice is located in Bluffton, South Carolina, in southern Beaufort County. Beaufort County is one of the fastest growing counties in South Carolina, stretching 30 miles along the Atlantic Ocean on its eastern side. This 587 square mile area includes 64 major islands and thousands of small islands in the state’s southeastern corner.

Tourism and real estate drive the local economy. With over 2.5 million annual visitors to the area, tourism and associated service sectors, including lodging, retail and transportation, are the county's leading employers.

Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, L.L.P. has had a market presence in Beaufort County for over 40 years, with the Beaufort location as one of its earliest branch offices. The Hilton Head Island office was established in 1975 and, combined with Beaufort, provides a thriving practice unit in Lowcountry South Carolina for CB&H. This local practice group includes two partners and a highly professional accounting, tax and consulting staff that serves a diverse and successful client base of governmental agencies, not-for-profit organizations, real estate companies, hospitality and service-oriented firms, and individuals.
