Nationally recognized CPA and consulting firm Cherry Bekaert LLP (“the Firm”) is proud to announce the launch of its Technology Solutions Group, established to meet the growing technology and business intelligence needs of the Firm’s clients. The group will be spearheaded by newly hired Managing Director Toby Stansell and Director Jim Holman.

Toby Stansell joins Cherry Bekaert after serving as the President and Chief Operating Officer of a boutique technology consulting firm. In his new role as a Managing Director with the Firm’s Technology Solutions group, he will advise clients as to how they can apply and leverage technology to improve their operational and financial performance. Stansell’s strong business technology expertise, combined with his executive management experience, will help clients capitalize upon transformative opportunities to increase the productivity of people and processes. Operating out of the Firm’s Atlanta, Georgia, and Greenville, South Carolina, practices, he will also work with clients in Cherry Bekaert’s THInc® specialty practice to architect and deploy business process advancements that materially enhance productivity, and ultimately, profitability.

For over 35 years, Stansell has been exposed to a diverse mix of manufacturing and distribution verticals, including capital equipment, aerospace and defense, textile, energy and automotive, along with the enterprise-class, technology-centric systems that support the industrial sector. Specifically, he possesses in-depth knowledge and expertise working with industrial clients in the areas of order management, supply-chain planning and execution, enterprise resource planning implementations, and lean materials management.

Jim Holman has over 25 years of experience advising clients with business flow, manufacturing and distribution processes, and analytical reporting. He possesses significant experience with IT due diligence engagements and has played a key role in IT/systems divesture projects and IT post-merger integration projects, including system migrations and optimization strategies. Based in our Atlanta practice, Holman joins Cherry Bekaert’s Technology Solutions group as a Director, and also will serve as a consultant to the Firm’s THInc® specialty practice by helping clients improve and re-engineer business processes, identify redundancies, eliminate non-essential procedures, and reduce costs.

Throughout his career, Holman has delivered manufacturing and distribution clients reliable solutions that blend the best technology and processes for meeting their needs. His expertise includes manufacturing financial modules, distribution modules, business intelligence, shop floor data collection, and mobile solutions. Holman has also assisted industrial clients in a diverse range of manufacturing environments such as discrete make-to-stock, make-to-order, engineer-to-order, specialty chemical batch process, craft brewing, restaurant recipe processing, and packaging. In addition, his guidance extends to the infrastructure requirements for multiple enterprise resource planning systems, both on the client and the server sides.

“I am excited for the opportunity to work with Toby and Jim in the cultivation of our Firm’s new Technology Solutions group,” remarked Scott M. Moss, Managing Partner of Cherry Bekaert’s Advisory Services practice. “Their combined technology and operational performance expertise is unmatched in optimizing business processes and providing innovative solutions to the clients in the technology, health and life science and industrial sectors.”
