Cherry Bekaert’s Anne Yancey Receives Certified Credits & Incentives Professional Designation

Cherry Bekaert LLP (“the Firm”) is pleased to announce that Anne M. Yancey, a Director in the Firm’s State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, has completed the Institute for Professionals in Taxation’s (“the Institute”) Certified Credits and Incentives Professional (“CCIP”) designation program.
A symbol of excellence and distinction, the CCIP is the first designation to recognize and certify professional achievement in tax credits and business incentives. To receive the CCIP designation, professionals are required to be a member of the Institute, have statutory tax credit, discretionary incentives, site selection and economic development experience, and attain prescribed educational requirements. Professionals also must pass a comprehensive written and oral examination, which Yancey successfully completed in late September.

This accolade is worth being celebrated, and reflects her ongoing contributions to the credits and incentives field.”
With 20 years of federal and state tax compliance and consulting experience, Yancey assists international and domestic companies with site selection, tax and financial location analysis, negotiating relocation and expansion incentive packages and tax credits. Based in the Firm’s Atlanta office, she provides economic development consulting to large global and mid-sized companies, and advises clients in all industry sectors on various tax issues.
Along with being a member of the Institute, Yancey is a CPA and has ties to professional organizations such as the Georgia Economic Development Authority (GEDA) and National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). She received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master of Science in Accounting at the University of Virginia.
