Jamie Byington Named to Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Governors

Cherry Bekaert LLP (“the Firm”), one of the country’s top public accounting and consulting firms, would like to congratulate Jamie J. Byington on becoming a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s (“the Chamber”) Board of Governors (“the Board”).

As South Florida’s largest business organization, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce reaches more than 400,000 employees across Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach counties. Unanimously voted onto the Chamber’s Board of Governors, Byington will help support South Florida’s business community, as well as create and carry out the Chamber’s annual goals. One of her first possible actions as a Board member will be attending the Chamber’s upcoming 2014 Goals Conference, which presents the organization’s plans and objectives for the 2014-2015 year.

A Partner in the Firm’s South Florida office, Byington is a member of Cherry Bekaert’s Real Estate & Construction group. Possessing over 25 years of tax and advisory experience, her client expertise is focused on the real estate and professional services industries, along with offering personal financial planning and taxation guidance, and assistance to the taxation of high-net-worth individuals.

Byington received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Miami (FL). She is also an active participant of both South Florida professional and community organizations, including the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.
