Matt Brady

As a Partner within the Virginia Beach practice, Matt provides clients expertise in tax planning and compliance for multi-state C corporations, S corporations, and high-net-worth individuals. Matt specializes in large corporate and pass-thru entity tax compliance with added focus on state and local tax (SALT), credits and incentives, and tax provisions (ASC 740).

Matt began his career in accounting in 2005. He has worked with several midsize to large C corporations, including SEC registrants, on diverse issues including accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), research and development tax credits, domestic production activities deductions, cost segregation studies, and IRS and state audit defense.

Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, he spent four years at a Big Four firm and five years with a Hampton Roads-based SEC registrant.
