As a Partner located in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office, Stacy provides accounting, financial reporting and audit assurance services for clients within the technology and life sciences, private equity, government contracting, and hospitality industries. In particular, she regularly assists technology and life sciences companies with complex revenue recognition treatment related to bundled software and services and other multiple-element arrangements. Stacy also serves as a member of THInc, the Firm’s specialty practice focused on guiding growth through innovation. Clients in the Technology, Health & Life Sciences, and Industrial sectors depend on her to help them maximize opportunities for innovation.
With more than 15 years of accounting experience, Stacy has worked with clients who issue financial statements under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and U.S. GAAP. Her international experience also includes accounting for business combinations and foreign currency exchange transactions. In addition, Stacy has considerable experience with the unique financial reporting requirements for private equity and venture capital funds. She routinely advises her clients as to what financial information is important to investors to facilitate liquidity events and exit strategies.
Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Stacy was a senior manager and director at one of the nation’s largest accounting firms. She has also co-authored and presented internal trainings regarding software and multiple-element arrangement revenue recognition, and complex equity transactions, and is an active member in the venture capital and private equity community.
