CB&H, we realize the transition from college to a “real
life” job can be challenging. To help ease this transition,
we bring all of our new entry-level hires to CBH Prep School.
Prep School is a 5-day orientation and training that currently
takes place twice a year – in late summer and January.
Here, we offer a core training curriculum for all new hires.
Topics include information about the Firm, Human Resources information,
auditing and tax processes, and fun teambuilding activities.
This is an interactive training session with much of the learning
performed through case studies and simulated auditing and tax
activities using actual firm software. |
 |
It’s also
an opportunity for new associates to meet and network
with peers and firm partners. There’s also plenty
of time for relaxing together and having fun! Evening
activities include playing pool, attending sporting events,
fine dining, and a chance to just hang out and get to
know each other. It’s guaranteed to be a week you
won’t forget! |

Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, we are committed to supporting
your professional development and helping you move forward in
your career. Our performance management system, Pathway to Success,
serves to accomplish this objective. Pathway to Success clearly
outlines expectations for performance and directly links performance
based outcomes (eligibility for promotion and merit increases).
The system is designed to encourage employees to excel in core
competencies and results measures and follows a continuous cycle
throughout the year. |
 |
Your performance
manager will evaluate your performance at least once per
quarter, and you will participate in an annual assessment
process during the summer. By working with your performance
manager, you will design a personal development plan to
address your goals for enhancing and enriching your current
performance. As a part of the cycle, the performance-based
outcomes, such as increases and promotions (if appropriate),
take place on October 1 each year.
We are committed to creating an environment where you
can maximize your potential and reach your career goals. |

of your learning each year will take place at an annual week-long
training event called Cherry, Bekaert & Holland University
(CBHU). This event brings the entire professional staff together
in one location to gain knowledge and share ideas pertaining
to everyday tasks, while providing you the opportunity to become
acquainted with staff from other offices. It is a great opportunity
to learn about the Firm philosophy and gain valuable |

information from
your peers on how to better serve our clients. Personal
development is a big focus at CBHU and the in-class hours
are valid CPE credits. CBHU is more than just training,
though. It's also an opportunity for our associates to
relax and have fun together. The evening events that take
place are a blast and a good time is absolutely guaranteed!
