CB&H’s John Ford to Speak at National Forum on DCAA Audits
We are pleased to announce that CB&H’s own John Ford will be speaking at the American Conference Institute’s 4th National Forum on DCAA Audits on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in Arlington, Virginia. The FAR requires a contractor to file a report with the contracting agency Inspector General whenever the contractor suspects that fraud may have been committed in regard to a contract or subcontract. In addition, contractors are required to inform the contracting officer whenever the contractor believes it has received an over-payment. Whenever either report is filed, DCAA may be asked to review the cost impact of the transaction on the government and the contractor’s internal controls. Read More.

This requirement was created to improve the accuracy of small business size status reporting, at the prime contract level, in the following circumstances: over the life of long-term contracts; contracts involving novations; and when acquisitions and mergers involving a small business occur.
