Overview

As a follow up to our earlier Leases webinar, this webinar will pick up where we left off. Now that we have recognized the lease on our books, we will discuss the impact during subsequent measurement on the balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows. We will also include a discussion of items to consider during implementation.

Melisa Galasso, CPA | Senior Manager, Audit Professional Practices | Cherry Bekaert LLP
A Certified Public Accountant with nearly 15 years of experience, Melisa is an Audit Professional Practices Senior Manager at Cherry Bekaert. In this role, she assists with technical issues and quality control of the Firm’s assurance services practice. She monitors regulatory bodies including the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for changes in auditing and accounting guidance and assists the Firm in implementing the updated guidance.

Jonathan Kraftchick, CPA | Managing Director, Audit Professional Practices | Cherry Bekaert LLP
Jonathan is Director of Training and Development in the Raleigh office where he is responsible for overseeing much of the Firm’s audit training, course development and delivery. He has spent more than 12 years conducting audit engagements for a wide variety of companies and industries throughout the Southeast, as well as writing and delivering courses both inside and outside of the Firm. He served as an adjunct professor at Elon University in their accounting department. Jonathan received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics before continuing on to their masters of accounting program and graduating from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Jonathan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA). In 2014, he received NCACPA’s 5.0 Discussion Leader Award. He also received NCACPA’s Outstanding Seminar Discussion Leader award in 2011.

Complaint Resolution Policy

Cherry Bekaert will make every effort to provide the best training courses possible. Information about the course such as date, location, instructor and nature of complaint must be provided. Record Retention Policy

Cherry Bekaert will retain all Continuing Professional Education (CPE) documents for five years from training course date. These records will include:

  • Course outline
  • Course content and handouts
  • Sign in sheets
  • Dates and locations of training courses
  • Instructor credentials
  • Course evaluations
  • CPE certificates stating amount of recommended CPE credit

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cherry Bekaert reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any training courses up to 10 business days prior to the date of the event. Full refunds will be provided to registered course participants if the course is cancelled or if participants are unable to attend the rescheduled event.

Participants who must to cancel their course registration 10 or more business days in advance of the event must contact Karen McManus to receive a full refund of all fees paid. Participants who must cancel their registration within 10 business days of the event, will not receive a refund.
