Overview

One of the key takeaways from our recent innovation survey with the Washington Business Journal was that many companies in the D.C. metro area are unaware of government programs that incentivize and pay for innovation that can help the government solve tough problems and fuel growth. Many companies are also not taking advantage of various tax credits, tax deductions and grants for innovative work.

Cherry Bekaert and Access National Bank will host and participate in a breakfast panel event to discuss insights learned from this recent innovation survey with the Washington Business Journal.

Panelists will include executives from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (“DARPA”), and In-Q-Tel, with more panelists to be added. We will also host a panel of experts on various credit and incentive programs that your company may already be eligible to receive. Discussion topics will include the underutilization of federal and state credits, OTAs, funding research, challenge.gov and other programs, and the correlation between innovation and growth.
