Tax Partner Barry Dean Profiled

One of the teams competing in this year’s NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament has a connection to Cherry Bekaert LLP. Barry Dean, CPA, a Tax Partner with Cherry Bekaert’s Nashville practice, is a former basketball player at Lipscomb University.
The school caught up with Dean last month for its “Where Are They Now?” article. In the article, he discussed playing for Lipscomb from 1972 to 1974. Dean reflected on his favorite memories at Lipscomb, such as playing against rival Belmont on television and meeting his future wife, Janet. He also shared the most valuable lessons he learned while on campus.
