Timothy P. Cherry, CGMA, CPA

A Partner with Cherry Bekaert, Tim assists clients with complex tax transactions and planning, including mergers and acquisitions, succession and transition planning, tax controversy, corporate tax planning, executive compensation and estate, gift and trust planning. Clients who depend on Tim’s experience include those in the real estate development and manufacturing and distribution industries, as well as high net worth clients throughout the southeast.

Tim’s prior experience includes working for a venture capital firm, running his own consulting firm, serving as CFO of a real estate company and a 20+ year career in public accounting. He was previously a partner with a regional CPA firm, where he served as a member of the Executive Committee and served as part of the firm’s taxation, real estate, manufacturing and healthcare practice groups. A frequent speaker on various tax topics, Tim also co-authored the award winning Disaster Tax Guide.
