OverviewThe Cherry Bekaert Federal Tax Controversy team will highlight IRS activity over the last six months. Much has happened for us to discuss: more audit campaigns have been announced by the Large Business and International (LB&I) Division; new penalties from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) take effect in 2018; IRS collections division is finally starting to use its power to restrict passports of taxpayers; and a new commissioner is installed. We’ll discuss these and other topics to keep you up-to-date. Learning Objectives
