Making Sense Out of Change
Now more than ever, status quo is not an option. Some of us embrace this, but most of us chose accounting because of its stability. While we may intuitively know that change must happen for progress to occur, for many of us, the idea of change brings frustration and fear. While you may not be able to change reality, you can certainly change your perception. During this course, we’ll explore common psychological reactions to change and explore techniques and other tips on how to mitigate the perceived threat and how to learn to embrace a little more chaos in your life.

What’s New in the Nonprofit Tax World
The program will bring you up-to-date on the latest developments and trends affecting nonprofit organizations from a tax perspective. Topics will include the ACT recommendations, data tools for IRS examinations, IRS priorities for tax-exempt organizations for the next fiscal year, and other topics of interest.

Why Everyone Hates Their Software
One of the pervasive commercial realities today is that many… maybe most… organizations are dissatisfied with the performance of their primary “run-the-business” software… usually a brand-name ERP or Financial system that is broadly distributed and widely used. To a person, business and I.T. executives tell us that their ERP/Financial systems have not met their original expectations and that the productivity of their personnel and processes have not materially improved as a result of deploying new software. So what is the problem… and how do we address it?

HR Update: What’s Happening in Washington
This program will review Washington federal matters that impact employers. Topics will include health care repeal-and-replace failures, IRS priorities for ACA employer reporting and other agency actions such as HHS, DOL, and EEOC.

- Discuss IRS employer reporting requirements in place for 2017
- Identify other HR impacts by HHS, EEOC, DOI, and IRS Cadillac tax in 2020
Not-For-Profit Accounting & Auditing Update
This program is designed to provide not-for-profit CFO’s, controllers, and other professionals with a broad update on new and potential accounting pronouncements issued by the FASB that will or may have a potential impact on not-for-profit entities.
- Recognize recently-issued ASU’s and their impact on NFP entities
- Review various illustrative examples to give a better picture of the proposed changes
- Review pending exposure drafts and their potential impact on NFP entities

Cherry Bekaert will make every effort to provide the best training courses possible. Record Retention Policy
Cherry Bekaert will retain all Continuing Professional Education (CPE) documents for five years from training course date. These records will include:
- Course outline
- Course content and handouts
- Sign in sheets
- Dates and locations of training courses
- Instructor credentials
- Course evaluations
- CPE certificates stating amount of recommended CPE credit
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cherry Bekaert reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any training courses up to 10 business days prior to the date of the event. Full refunds will be provided to registered course participants if the course is cancelled or if participants are unable to attend the rescheduled event.
Participants who must to cancel their course registration 10 or more business days in advance of the event must contact Cate Miller to receive a full refund of all fees paid. Participants who must cancel their registration within 10 business days of the event, will not receive a refund.
