This session will cover GASB’s next big statement, GASB 96 Subscription-Based IT Arrangements. This statement will be effective for periods beginning after June 15, 2022. The challenge of identifying Subscription-Based IT Arrangements will be more difficult for many entities than the leases standard. We will discuss what the standard is, how governments should be implementing, and what key documentation will be needed for the first audit under the pronouncement.
