Cherry Bekaert Consolidates Virginia Practice

Richmond, Virginia (May 10, 2019) – Cherry Bekaert LLP (the “Firm”) announced today the Firm’s intention to consolidate its Virginia practice into the three core markets of Richmond, Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia. This decision aligns with the Firm’s strategy to serve larger, middle-market clients across the state.
As part of this plan, the Firm has reached an agreement to transfer ownership of its Roanoke and Lynchburg, Virginia, offices to Brown Edwards & Company LLP effective May 31, 2019. Cherry Bekaert will continue to make a difference for its strategic industry clients across the state of Virginia with more concentrated specialty resources to guide them forward.
Cherry Bekaert has maintained a presence in Lynchburg since 1988 and in Roanoke since 2010. After an extensive search, the Firm determined that Brown Edwards would be the best fit for the associates and clients who are impacted by the transition. Select Partners and clients will be reassigned to other Cherry Bekaert offices as part of the realignment, allowing the Firm to better serve its clients and focus on future growth priorities. Cherry Bekaert is confident that the Firm’s former clients and associates will be well served by Brown Edwards.
