Cherry Bekaert Expands Tax Credits and Incentives Practice Leadership

Cherry Bekaert LLP (the “Firm”) is pleased to announce Martin (“Marty”) Karamon as Managing Principal and Leader of the Firm’s Tax Credits and Incentives (“TCI”) Advisory practice. Marty’s background strengthens our capabilities of helping clients take advantage of credits and incentives that enhance and expand their business goals.  Through his leadership, the Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory team will deliver technology-driven tax solutions for our clients.

“Research & Development (“R&D”) tax credits, energy tax incentives,  and accelerated tax deductions are fundamental to the solutions we deliver  to our clients,” said Srikant Sastry, Managing Principal, Advisory Services. “Marty is a recognized leader with expertise that uniquely positions him to advance our tax credits and incentives efforts and ensure that we help our clients succeed and grow in the marketplace.”

The TCI Advisory team is further supported by seasoned leaders with Ronald Wainwright, Jr., and Daniel Mennel, both Partners with 30 and 20 years of experience, respectively.  Ron will continue to provide R&D tax services and oversee the growth of TCI’s cost segregation service and other business tax credit offerings. Dan is responsible for R&D tax credit services in the firm’s West Coast region, as well as expanding Cherry Bekaert’s TCI Advisory technology solutions in all marketplaces.

With more than 25 years of experience, Marty provides continued leadership for the firm’s TCI Advisory practice greatly increasing Cherry Bekaert’s reach, service delivery and capabilities to achieve our client’s business goals using technology and alliance partners to expand offerings and value-added solutions. Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Marty held a leadership role as national Deputy Service Line Leader for R&D and Federal credits and incentives with a Big Four accounting firm.
