Cherry Bekaert’s David Appel Named South Florida Power Leader

Cherry Bekaert LLP (“the Firm”) would like to congratulate David W. Appel, Managing Partner of the Firm’s South Florida practice, for being named one of South Florida Business Journal’s 2015 Power Leaders in Law & Accounting for the second consecutive year.
Recognizing the top 100 law and accounting professionals in the region, the South Florida Business Journal honors executives who have significantly contributed to South Florida’s thriving business community. Executives were selected based on their track record, and ability to provide leadership and innovative ideas within their specialty areas.
As the Managing Partner of Cherry Bekaert’s South Florida practice, David is responsible for coordinating the Firm’s services to clients throughout the region. Also a Tax Partner and member of the Firm’s Executive Board, he provides comprehensive strategic tax planning in closely-held entities, S corporations, partnerships, controlled groups and individuals.
An accounting professional for over 30 years, David has extensive experience serving clients in the real estate, manufacturing, leisure, construction, franchising, wholesale, retail and service sectors. He is also active in numerous professional and community organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, United Way, and Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Greater Miami.
