Cherry Bekaert Welcomes Business Development Director to its National Private Equity Practice

Cherry Bekaert (“the Firm”) is pleased to welcome Cameron Smith as Business Development Director for its Private Equity Practice. In this new national role for the Firm, Smith will spearhead growth initiatives within the Private Equity industry, including developing and supporting relationships with financial sponsors, investment banks, lenders and strategic partners as well as driving growth strategies.

With more than 15 years of cultivating a national professional network, Smith has notable experience in mergers & acquisitions, debt & finance, and regulatory compliance. In her role, she will act as an additional layer of support for transaction-driven clients beyond traditional accounting services.

Smith received a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication as well as a B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She is based in Cherry Bekaert’s Tysons, Virginia, office.
