Cherry Bekaert Executive Board Appointments

Cherry Bekaert (“the Firm”) is pleased to announce that Stacy LaMontagne, CPA, a Partner in our Assurance practice, has been newly elected to the Cherry Bekaert Board of Directors, and Mark Giallonardo, JD, LLM, Principal and Tax Technical Director, has been re-elected to the Executive Board (“the Board”).

The two will join other members of the Board, including Michelle Thompson, Chief Executive Officer and Firm Managing Partner, and Partners John T. Jobe V., Christopher F. Rux, Christopher J. Truitt, and David T. Bettler.

LaMontagne, who works in the Tysons Corner, Virginia office, develops and executes growth strategies for private equity and venture capital backed technology companies and their entrepreneurs. With 19 years of experience, her industries include Technology and Private Equity. Two of the organizations that she is involved in include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) and Mid Atlantic Ventures Association (“MAVA”).

Giallonardo, who has over 35 years of experience, works in the South Florida Practice as a Principle and the Firm’s Tax Technical Director. His primary areas of focus include Passthrough Entity and Individual Taxation, as well as Tax Controversy and Dispute Resolution.  His industries primarily include Real Estate & Construction and Professional Services. Mark is a Member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, as well as an Associate Member of Broward County Bar Association.

Giallonardo has a total of 36 years of experience and serves as the Florida Tax Regional Service Leader in the Coral Gables, Florida location. His focus areas include Corporate Tax Planning Strategies, Opportunity Zones, Section 199A and Tax Controversy and Dispute Resolution. His industries include Industrial Manufacturing, Professional Services and Real Estate & Construction. Mark is a Member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, as well as an Associate Member of Broward County Bar Association.

LaMontagne and Giallonardo will both serve a 3-year term, which concludes on the 2024 Annual Partners Meeting.
