John Jobe and Chris Rux Join Cherry Bekaert’s Executive Board

Nationally recognized and fast-growing public accounting firm Cherry Bekaert LLP (“the Firm”) is proud to announce the addition of John T. Jobe V, CPA, and Chris F. Rux, CPA, to its Executive Board. Jobe and Rux succeed outgoing Board members Edward T. Burke, CPA, and David W. Appel, CPA, whose tenures on the Board concluded June 21, 2019.
Elected to the Executive Board at the Firm’s annual Partners Meeting last month in Durham, North Carolina, Jobe and Rux will serve as part of a seven-person panel that oversees and executes Cherry Bekaert’s management, operation and policies. Other members of the Board include Michelle Thompson, CPA, Chief Executive Officer and Firm Managing Partner; David T. Bettler, CPA, Chief Risk Officer; Mark Giallonardo, JD, LLM, Principal of Tax Services; Christine W. Pierce, CPA, Managing Partner of Tax Services; and Catherine Shaw, CPA, MT, National Leader of State & Local Tax (SALT) Services. Jobe and Rux each assumed a three-year term on the Executive Board beginning June 22, 2019.
John Jobe serves as the National Assurance Leader of Private Equity Services. He is based out of Cherry Bekaert’s headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.
Chris Rux is the Managing Partner of Cherry Bekaert’s Central Florida practice and is located in the Firm’s Tampa office. He also leads the Firm’s Florida Technology & Life Sciences Industry group, as well as serves on the leadership team of Cherry Bekaert’s THInc specialty practice.
