Cherry Bekaert Implements Government Compliance Systems for Commercial Software Solutions Company

Situation
A commercial software solutions company based in the broadcast and media industry started receiving orders from the Federal government for software that could access massive digital imagery files from around the world. The company realized that certain changes to its patented IP could help the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Intelligence Community.
Cherry Bekaert’s Guidance
Cherry Bekaert assisted the company with assuring compliance in government contracting, including Service Contract Act, Buy American Act, Code of Business Ethics, Contractor Purchasing System, Accounting System, and Government Property System. Additionally, we developed policies and procedures and trained employees to assure that all were complying with these regulations and/or statutes.
Result
The company now has compliant systems and has submitted proposals for much larger contracts. Cherry Bekaert has also assisted the company with developing a compliant proposal with one of the top five U.S. Federal contractors as its subcontractor.
