Midsized Commercial Manufacturer Acquires Major Contract

A U.S. subsidiary of an international company lacked the expertise to deliver a cost proposal for a sole source firm-fixed-price award, in accordance with FAR Part 15 cost and pricing data requirements related to a major defense program.  The prime contractor wanted to work with them, but due to the significant dollar value of the contract, the company had to support their price to the government which they were unprepared to handle.

Cherry Bekaert performed a GAP assessment of the company’s existing ERP and timekeeping systems.  The Firm identified modifications needed and developed a methodology to estimate labor costs and an indirect rate structure.


Our team assisted in writing all the required documentation and we supported the company through the proposal process and acceptance by a major defense prime contractor.
