Cherry Bekaert Executive Board Announcement

Nationally acclaimed CPA and advisory firm Cherry Bekaert (“the Firm”) is excited to announce the addition of Christopher J. Truitt, CPA (Charlotte, NC) and the re-election of Partner David Bettler, CPA (Atlanta, GA) to its Executive Board (“the Board”).
Elected at Cherry Bekaert’s annual Partners’ Meeting held November 18, 2020, Truitt and Bettler serve as part of a seven-person panel that oversees the Firm’s management, operation and policies. Other members of the Board include Chief Executive Officer & Firm Managing Partner Michelle Thompson, CPA (Raleigh, NC) and Partners Mark Giallonardo (Coral Gables, FL); John T. Jobe V, CPA (Richmond, VA); Christopher F. Rux, CPA (Tampa, FL) and Catherine Stanton, CPA, MT (Bethesda, MD).
Truitt serves as a Partner and the National Tax Leader of the Firm’s Private Equity (“PE”) Services group, where numerous private equity groups depend on his guidance in structuring both the purchase and sale of portfolio companies. Truitt also provides tax due diligence services for buy-side and sell-side transactions and works closely with PE firms and their portfolio companies in analyzing new tax regulations impacting their businesses.
Bettler is the Chief Risk Officer and an Assurance Partner. Spearheading enterprise risk management across the firm, he is responsible for implementing policies and procedures to minimize or manage operational risks. David has also worked in providing audit and business advisory services assisting clients with complex revenue transactions and complex debt and equity instruments.
Truitt and Bettler will assume a three-year term on the Executive Board through the annual Partners Meeting in 2023.
