Cherry Bekaert LLP (“the Firm”), one of the fastest-growing CPA and advisory firms in the nation, congratulates Jonathan Kraftchick, CPA, for winning the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants’ (“NCACPA”) inaugural Elevating Women Award.

Introduced this year by the Women’s Initiative Group, one of NCACPA’s member communities, the Elevating Women Award recognizes a male in the CPA field who actively champions the advancement of women. Peers nominated Kraftchick, Cherry Bekaert’s Managing Director of Training and Development for its Assurance & Accounting Services group, for leveraging his role to promote a high level of diversity in leadership positions and ensure all backgrounds, genders, and cultures are represented in the Firm.

As Managing Director of Training and Development, Kraftchick oversees much of the Firm’s audit training, course development and delivery. He also has spent over 15 years performing audit engagements for numerous companies and industries throughout the country, as well as writing and delivering courses both inside and outside of Cherry Bekaert.

The Elevating Women Award joins accolades Kraftchick previously received as an active member of NCACPA. In 2015, the NCACPA gave Kraftchick the “Taking it to the Max” Award, which honors the legacy of former NCACPA Chair Maximo Mukelabai. Kraftchick has also received NCACPA’s 5.0 Discussion Leader Award and the organization’s Outstanding Seminar Discussion Leader Award on several occasions.

Kraftchick will be honored as part of the 2018 Women to Watch Awards, which will be held at the Professional Women’s Conference on October 18, 2018, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
