Ron Wainwright Joins Leadership Committee of R&D Coalition

Cherry Bekaert is pleased to announce that Ron Wainwright, Tax Partner and Leader of Credits and Accounting Methods, has been appointed to the Leadership Committee of the R&D Coalition. The goal of the Coalition is to secure the United States as a world leader in offering innovation and expansion opportunities to businesses by advancing public policies that provide incentives for investing in research and development of new products and services.
Members of the Leadership Committee represent a variety of businesses and organizations including Intel, Microsoft, Northrop Grumman, Brunswick, National Association of Manufacturers, Raytheon Technologies, Bosch, Cherry Bekaert and more.
“As a member of the Leadership Committee, my goal is to advocate for middle market, private companies which represent over 70% of R&D investments in this country,” says Wainwright. “Our nation’s tax laws need to provide incentives to these businesses for their commitment in researching and developing new products, technology and innovations. These investments help businesses grow and created millions of American jobs. ”
Wainwright, who has more than 25 years of experience in taxation, has been an active member of the R&D Coalition for most of his career. He also serves on the Coalition’s Technical Standing Committee.
