As a Partner and Strategic Financing Services Leader at Cherry Bekaert, Laurel leverages more than two decades of experience guiding clients through complex financial transactions that drive community development. She specializes in federal and state tax credit programs — including New Markets, Historic, Low-Income Housing and Renewable Energy Tax Credits — as well as bond financing and other incentives.

Her background includes deploying hundreds of millions in tax credit allocations into transformative projects nationwide and serving as lead counsel on more than 100 transactions. Laurel’s deep knowledge of tax credit structures and compliance enables her to support clients from inception through completion.
