Session C: What We Learned From GASB 101: Practical Guidance for Year Two and Beyond, April 14, from 12:55 – 1:45 P.M.

Implementing new Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements can be complex and time consuming. In this session, we will use the recent implementation of GASB Statement No. 101, Compensated Absences, to demonstrate a practical, four-phase implementation methodology that can be applied to any new accounting standard.

Participants will also learn how to transition from initial adoption to sustainable, repeatable processes that support long-term success. This session offers valuable insights for both seasoned implementers and those new to GASB implementation.
