John serves as Cherry Bekaert’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), bringing more than 25 years of experience leading marketing, growth and digital transformation initiatives for global organizations. He is known for aligning brand, go‑to‑market strategy, data‑driven decision‑making and operational execution to strengthen performance and scale enterprise growth initiatives.
Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, John served as CMO at Baker Tilly, before transitioning into the role of Chief Commercial Officer. During his time at the firm, he led enterprise‑wide transformation across brand, digital, sales, pricing and growth strategy. His leadership supported significant firmwide expansion, a global rebrand that increased market awareness and meaningful gains in marketing‑attributed revenue.
Throughout his career, John has guided due diligence and integration for more than 30 acquisitions and built scalable, data‑driven commercial systems that advanced customer experience, modernized operating models and increased revenue contribution. His work includes launching high‑impact digital platforms, implementing award‑winning content systems and driving measurable growth through automation, ecommerce and analytics‑led marketing strategies.
