Michael Cornett Joins as International Tax Director

Cherry Bekaert (“the Firm”) is pleased to welcome Michael Cornett as a Director of International Tax Services in the Firm’s Atlanta office. Michael will lead operations for the Firm’s international tax consulting practice.
Since 1984, Michael has worked in the federal income sector focusing on international tax issues, and guiding clients in international tax consulting, acquisition and disposition planning, foreign tax credit planning, intellectual property planning, Subpart F and GILTI planning.
“Michael will be a great addition to our team. With his many years of experience, he will help guide our clients through complex foreign tax issues and cross-border strategies,” says Brian Dill, Leader and Principal of Tax Services for the International Tax group.
During the course of his career, Michael has worked for major law firms and the national office of the Big Four accounting and consulting firms. He also served as the Special Counsel to the Associate Chief Counsel (International). Michael also has handled negotiations with the IRS on various international tax matters, including cost sharing arrangements and Competent Authority matters.
